A landscape photograph by David that captures a rare and mesmerizing phenomenon: an orographic cloud rising over the hills of Exmoor. The cloud, which started as a tiny speck in the ocean, grew in size and shape as it encountered the landmass, creating a striking contrast with the golden sky. David witnessed this spectacle from a vantage point near Selworthy Beacon, where he waited patiently for the perfect moment to snap the shot. Dunster Castle near Minehead, this took a little planning to capture the castle like this, an early rise in June, with the sunrise lighting up the castle as I had hoped. But, even then there are other factors that came together that can't be planned, the early morning rain which brought out such lovely colours in the sky.
