Puffins Holiday Apartment
June 17, we have just received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence, we are very pleased to have received this after our first year and thank all our customers who have written some really lovely reviews.
As a young person living in Brighton, Melody would return home for her holiday, it was vital for her well being. Walking everyday on Exmoor, come rain or shine is amazingly refreshing. With this in mind it was Melody’s intention to create a comfortable creative holiday space from which this refreshment can be found.
Melody says – “Having worked in hospitality, the experience of creative excellence, I hope has inspired me to make my guests stay special and a holiday to remember.”
Puffins is a ground floor holiday apartment in the centre of Porlock just a short walk to the local shops, pubs and restaurants. Puffins has easy access to an almost unlimited selection of walks and is itself the first stop for the South West Coast Path. Also popular with holiday makers and locals is The Coleridge Way. Exmoor has a great art history, with links to Coleridge, Wordsworth and Turner, all who visited and stayed in Porlock.
Melody and David also register Puffins on TripAdvisor and are very happy for you to look at reviews or book Puffins via them.
Renovations were completed in August 2015 and although not equipped for disabled guests, it is a ground floor holiday apartment with suitable access. In essence Puffins is created for guests who like a little luxury with a creative flair.
Porlock is a working village set in the heart of Exmoor a popular holiday destination with walks from your doorstep or just a short drive away. Porlock has a selection of shops for day to day needs and other art, craft, antique and clothing shops as well as pubs, restaurants and coffee shops. Another useful link is The Porlock Visitors Centre, here you can find lots of useful information about the area.
Melody has her art studio / gallery across the path from The Old Tannery, from there her original paintings and Giclée prints can be viewed. Melody and David also have a small art gallery in Porlock High Street, here you can view some of Melody’s original paintings, Giclée prints of paintings and photographs by David.
We hope to welcome you in the near future.
