Sunset on Porlock Marsh captures the beauty and dynamism of a unique landscape on the edge of Exmoor. The photographer, David, was inspired by the constant changes of the salt marsh, which was flooded by the sea in 1996 and created a new habitat for wildlife. The dead trees that remain from the flood add a striking contrast to the golden hour light and guide the viewer's eye towards the distant Porlock Weir. This photograph is a testament to the resilience of nature and the power of artistic vision.

Taken at sunset from among the rocks below Hurlstone Point and looking across Porlock Bay, this is a lovely location on Exmoor and is part of Holnicote Estate. I love the pebbles which naturaly grade with size, the smallest being at this end of the beach, during the golden hour the pebbles have a beautiful colour, it is well worth the walk.
