A Day To Remember – Photograph at Porlock Weir

A summer view from Porlock Weir to Selworthy Beacon looking across Porlock Bay.  Porlock has the second highest tides in the world with high tides in excess of 12 metres, these tides are responsible for the salt marsh which started to form in 1996 when the shingle ridge, which is such a feature of Porlock Bay, was breached.  For further information follow this link to Exmoor National Park page
