One of the stunning features of Exmoor are the trees. With so many varieties they mingle and grow together within the landscape. The shape of this canvas I chose to reflect the stain glass window effect of the colour and shapes occurring when the light and landscape shine through. The picture is of Melody at Holnicote house where this painting forms part of her exhibition.

Taken near Nutscale, the cattle were moving across the landscape. The Highland Cattle have such a lovely colour and have fitted in well on the Exmoor Landscape, I always enjoy coming across them on the road, they just stand and look at you while you wonder how much damage those horns will do.

Porlock has the second highest tides in the world with high tides in excess of 12 metres, these tides are responsible for the salt marsh which started to form in 1996 when the shingle ridge, which is such a feature of Porlock Bay, was breached.
